Participation Terms & Liability Waiver

You must be at least 21 years old to attend our events. By participating, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are joining of your own free will.

Outdoor and in-person activities carry inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to, uneven or slippery terrain, weather conditions, wildlife, insects, plants, physical exertion, travel to and from venues, and interactions with other participants and members of the public.

You understand and voluntarily accept these risks. You are responsible for assessing your own physical ability and limits, dressing appropriately, bringing necessary personal items (such as water and any required medication), and choosing whether to participate in any activity or portion of an event.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release and agree not to hold liable Rooted Connections ATL, its organizers, hosts, volunteers, partners, and affiliates from any claims, demands, injuries, losses, or damages arising out of or related to your participation in any event, including those caused by ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be waived under applicable law.

You confirm that you are in adequate health to participate in the activities you choose to join. We do not provide medical care. In the event of an emergency, you consent to us seeking emergency assistance on your behalf, and you are responsible for any resulting medical costs. You are responsible for your own belongings.

Rooted Connections is built on respect, consent, and safety. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwanted contact, intoxication that endangers others, or any behavior that makes others feel unsafe will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to decline, remove, or ban any participant, at our sole discretion, to protect the safety and comfort of the group, without refund where applicable.

Rooted Connections curates experiences and group settings to help like-minded people meet in person. We do not promise, guarantee, or match any specific romantic, social, or personal outcome. Participation is for the experience itself.

We use the information you share only to plan our events and to communicate with you. We do not sell your data, publish attendee lists, or share your contact information with other attendees without mutual consent. Photos or video may be taken at events for promotional purposes; if you prefer not to be photographed, let an organizer know at the event and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your participation applies. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
